How does Reiki work?
Reiki accelerates the body's ability to heal physical and mental ailments and assists you to correct the imbalances of the mind and spirit which lead to disease. It opens you to the pleasure of taking responsibility for your own life and to receive the joy of relaxed and balanced wellness when it is done. Through Reiki total health and recovery can be achieved.
When we treat a person with Reiki, we do this by the laying of the hands on or just above various parts of the body. We will soon feel a 'flowing sensation often accompanied by a feeling of warmth. The recipient will often feel these too and it comes with a sense of relaxtion. Often unresolved issues may come forth and a release of these emotions often with tears follows, however as the energy is released and atuned by the Reiki and the balancing occurs a sense of warmth and wellness follows.
It is this universal energy that makes the changes - the practitioner is merely the conduit for the energy and it must be given freely with good intent, without bias or prejudice.
